Sperre's factory today
Ellingsøy, where Sperre Industri is located, is one of the islands of Ålesund in Norway(see map). Here, just north of the 62nd parallel, facing the challenges of the ocean has been a tradition since Viking times. Ålesund, the largest fishing harbour in Norway, is at the heart of a maritime cluster with companies that own and build ships, produce maritime equipment and provide maritime services. Sperre works in close teamwork with these partners in a constant search for even better solutions.
