Air receivers

Sperre Sveis AS supplies air receivers according to standard drawings, in sizes from 30 to 3000 litres. The working pressure ranges from 7 to 30 bar.

We also supply receivers manufactured to customer specifications. The company has also supplied special high-pressure tanks to seismic ships and offshore installations, where the working pressure has been up to 300 bar.

All air receivers are coated internally and externally. After production and approval of non-destructive tests, all air receivers undergo pressure testing in the presence of a representative from a classification company. All documentation is reviewed and handed over for classification. Sperre Sveis AS files all documentation on products subject to pressure for a minimum of 10 years.

The production installations include a Faccin plate roll, type 4HEL 2,5x30/25. The plate roll, used for receiver production, also has a programme for cone rolling.

Products and services
Air receivers in carbon steel, high-pressure and low-pressure. The picture shows a standard 3000-litre air receiver - horizontal configuration. All standard tanks are supplied in both horizontal and vertical configurations, with flanges or threaded connections.
Pressure testing of vessels We test all our pressure vessels hydrostatically. Measuring instruments are calibrated every year, and marked with the number and date. The maximum test pressure is 600 bar.
Oil tanks For customers, Sperre Sveis AS manufactures oil tanks and hydraulic pump tanks to be used in steering engines for ships.
Fuel tanks The picture shows diesel tanks for the oil production platform Gullfaks C in the North Sea
Shells for heat exchangers Sperre Sveis AS produces all shells for heat exchangers in the product range offered by Sperre Industri AS.
Steel structures Sperre Sveis AS also manufactures steel structures to order, based on customers` specifications.
Mechanical Fabrication Facilities Rolling of round and conical tubes, cutting, CNC machining, robot welding, welding of carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. We also do sandblasting and surface treatment.
