About Sveis

Sperre Sveis AS is one of three manufacturing
companies in the Sperre Group, and is located on the
island of Bjørnøy in Haram municipality(see map). The company
has attractive premises and modern production equipment.

Sperre Sveis AS divides its production into two categories:

Production of components subject to internal
pressure: pressure vessels, oil/water
separators, shells for heat exchangers,
connectors and other tubing structures.
Production of components that are not subject
to internal pressure: compressor mounts and
other steel structures.

Sperre Sveis AS supplies most of its production to Sperre Industri AS. Products that are normally supplied by Sperre Industri AS are marketed via its sales division.

Our policy on quality

The quality of products manufactured by Sperre Sveis AS complies with the requirements of the various classification companies as well as national and international product directives and standards, and the specifications agreed on with the customer.

Welding method / welding qualifications

Sperre Sveis AS has been using flux cored arc welding (FCAW) for welding carbon steel since 1981. We have approved welding procedures (WPQAR) which cover all aspects of our production involving carbon steel and stainless steel.

Certification / classification approvals

All our welders are certified in compliance with NS-EN 287. The company produces pressure vessels approved by the national and international classification companies, and holds the necessary approvals.
