Dedicated facilities Our dedicated test hall with space for all 21 X-compressors enables rigorous testing over a long period. To maximize testing hours, we run tests simultaneously in two groups, each with up to 11 compressors.
Extreme conditions During testing, we simulate some of the most extreme conditions on earth – from tropical to Arctic temperature and humidity. Long-term testing continues for 2000 to 8000 hours before each X-compressor is released for production. We test at both 50 and 60 cycles. The test facilities provide precise control of the testing parameters: pressures, temperatures, and humidity.
Mounting of compressors for testing
A solid base of experience Every potential improvement we find is immediately applied to all 21 compressor models. The R&D team runs long-term testing to ensure continuous feedback, enabling further improvements. Four programmes allow testing over a variety of operating intervals and start/stop cycles. Long-term testing establishes the optimum service interval for safe and cost-effective operation. Our test logs show that performance deteriorates if service is postponed or skipped. The service countdown has been calculated to result in optimum life-cycle costs.
